SOS Children's Villages Namibia highly value partnerships with institutional partners all over the world. We work with bilateral and multilateral donors, and with foundations and embassies to improve the situations of vulnerable children, their families and communities.
SOS Children’s Villages Namibia also provides input into the development of policy frameworks in Namibia. We work together with partners who share our objectives on numerous projects that put policy into practice. In addition, the strengthened relationship with government, Ministry of Gender Equality and Child Welfare and Civil Society in child care offers SOS an opportunity to position itself as a child protection specialist taking leadership in alternative child care programmes.
Together we are helping to reduce poverty and support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), African Union Vision 2063, Namibia’ Vision 2030, Namibia’ 5th National Development Plan (NDP5) and the Harambee Prosperity Plan (HPP) 2016-2020. The support our institutional partners provide helps maximize the resources and impact of SOS Children’s Villages in Namibia. In this way, we contribute to ensuring that aid is spent effectively and delivers the best possible results.
